Our founder, Randall Veugeler’s vision is simple: to create premium graphic design, web, and marketing solutions that help clients win. With 25 years spent as a Creative Director, Designer and Art Director, the professional experience he brings to the table is invaluable.
Randall has served as an Art Director for several award-winning advertising agencies in Chicago, South Florida and Atlanta, including the Omnicom Group Company, Zimmerman Advertising, where he managed a creative team of 35+ artists. In 2006, he decided to open the doors of his own design firm in Buford, Georgia – and business has been growing ever since. Today, he leads a graphic design, web development and marketing team whose enthusiasm and drive to succeed are exceeded only by his own.
Randall’s extensive background in automotive marketing and design has fueled the growth of VDG, allowing it to become one of the top digital and print design groups in the automotive industry. While automotive is at the core, VDG’s team of designers have brought a wide variety of professional experience in many different industries. Veugeler Design Group now services clients across the nation, in a number of different fields: automotive, hospitality, medical, government, finance, sports, nonprofit, food & beverage and more.
The only thing that could hold a torch to Randall Veugeler’s passion for great design is his love of craft beer – as evidenced by VDG’s pub-themed office space. So it only makes sense that Veugeler Design Group has also become known for its premium craft beer and brewery design work.
The doors are always open at VDG. If you would like to learn more about how Randall’s creative direction and top-notch design team can help your business win, then stop by our office for a cold beer, on us.
Angela Veugeler has a B.A. in Advertising from Michigan State University, over 15 years of experience in Marketing & Advertising, and an accomplished background in Automotive Advertising which started at one of the nation's top agencies. Her years of experience taking care of clients have shaped the model of how accounts at VDG are handled today: with great attention to detail, superb time-management, professionalism and ongoing communication with the client.
Angela started working with her husband, Randall Veugeler, when Veugeler Design Group's client demands increased. The Accounts/Administration Department took shape in her hands, and Veugeler Design Group has steadily grown since.
Angela's interpersonal leadership and focus on employee and client relations is the glue that holds VDG together! She typically handles a million things at once and yet treats each person as if they were the only one on her entire agenda. This skill could be attributed to the nearly five years spent in a multifaceted role at Zion Farms, as: Marketing Director, Wedding & Event Coordinator, Horseback Riding Instructor, Camp Director...and more!
Today, as a mother of three boys under the age of 9, Angela Veugeler is always on the move, but always manages to hold down the fort at VDG. We don't know what we'd do without her!
Erica Abrams has always had a passion and talent for art and design, even from a very young age. Two years after graduating from SCAD Atlanta with top honors, Erica became the Art Director of a nationally-renowned, automotive advertising agency where her skills as an industry leader were further developed. When Randall Veugeler decided to open the doors of Veugeler Design Group in 2006, he hand-selected Erica Abrams as Art Director, knowing that her skill set as an expert in automotive print design would help the company grow. Not only is she excellent at creating ads that best suit her client's marketing messages; but if you sit at her computer and just watch her for a few minutes, you will be blown away by the speed and accuracy with which she works. It is this level of talent that has since helped VDG grow from a two-man team to a team of 15 experienced graphic designers, web developers, marketing strategists, sales associates and account executives, all under the creative leadership of Randall Veugeler and Erica Abrams.
Laura “Roots” Payne
Laura Payne, a graduate of Full Sail University, joined Veugeler Design Group (VDG) in 2007 when the company's clientele and workload had nearly tenfold; and the need for somebody to manage the workflow, client/agency communication, deadlines and delegation was dire. Laura joined the team and saved the day (well, primarily their sanity) almost immediately! Her diverse background which includes: music label management, graphic design and sales at a Volkswagen dealer, has leant her a unique advantage in her ability to understand, explain and "speak both languages" to our clients and design team. On a daily basis, Laura Payne is juggling upwards of 300 emails and phone calls, hundreds of tight deadlines, lots of last-minute changes and detail-laden projects. She is THE queen of fast-paced and efficient multi-tasking! Her ability to troubleshoot an issue while smiling and laughing with a client is something that everyone should strive for. She is literally the wheels that keep this design factory rolling!
April Miller joined Veugeler Design Group as an intern in 2010, eager to learn anything and everything about print design. Thankfully, her talent level matched her eagerness & passion, and she was quickly promoted to a full-time graphic designer several months later. This was a dream come true for a girl who loved drawing so much that she applied for art school at eight years old (after seeing a tv commercial). Later, she pursued a career in childhood education but eventually realized that her heart was still in design. Over the past few years April has grown tremendously as an artist, and has also demonstrated great rapport and customer service with clients. Promoting her to a joint role as Production Manager/Graphic Designer was a very natural process. And her ability to work extremely fast made her an especially ideal candidate for direct mail management. As an advocate of ongoing education, April is known to utilize her own free time to learn and advance as a designer. This dedication to her craft is recognized and appreciated by both clients and colleagues alike. Her favorite thing about working at VDG? "That it's a place of quality, passion and heart. It all starts from the top and we are blessed to work for Randall & Angela, two of the greatest people I have ever met. They have built their business with passion and their heart for the staff is unbelievable. Not only do I get to follow my dream of being a designer, but I am fortunate enough to do it at VDG!"
Web Designer/Designer/Brew Master
Walt Wooden, Senior Web Developer at Veugeler Design Group (VDG), has 30 years of graphic design and website development experience. He joined VDG in 2011 and has successfully designed and developed hundreds of websites since that time. Originally, Walt attended Auburn University (yes, he's still a diehard fan!) to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering, but realized his talent and passion for Graphic Design - thus changing career paths. His scientific-oriented mind is still a prominent characteristic, however, and is evidenced by his creative yet analytical approach to website design & development. "Designing is the same as scientific experimentation to me," he has said. Walt has an apparent tenacity and drive to create new things from scratch, research, analyze and teach. His calm demeanor and attitude is appreciated by clients and colleagues alike, especially when it comes to seemingly-stressful IT issues and troubleshooting. Walt has a desire to serve others and is a patient teacher, which has been an invaluable asset for teaching clients how to operate and manage their new websites. His handiwork expands far beyond the technological. When Walt (or "WaltGyver" as we say) isn’t perfecting the code to make your websites look amazing, you might find him making stained glass windows, brewing beer, woodworking, constructing furniture or remodeling the VDG headquarters!
Jr. Art Director
Shay Harbaugh, Junior Art Director at Veugeler Design Group (VDG) is one of those people who truly lives and breathes great design. To say that she is passionate about the design industry as a whole, is an understatement. Since joining the team in 2012, Shay has stepped up to the plate as an instructor, leader and role model at VDG. After obtaining a hard-earned B.A. in Art & Graphic Design from Murray State University, Shay did not stop her pursuit of ongoing education. Quite the opposite! She has her pulse on the design world and is continuously seeking ways to grow as an artist. As an active member of many graphic design networking groups, Shay is the go-to girl for industry-related news and shares weekly inspiration with the VDG team. Shay can draw inspiration from, or point out design flaws, in just about anything and everything. She is a diehard Typography-lover and has an enormous collection of unique and custom fonts. Yes, she admittedly is a font snob and will even purchase products based solely on package design. But, it is that intricately creative mind and attention to detail that allows her to clearly convey a client's message through her design. Her favorite thing about being a Graphic Designer? "It keeps me on my toes! I always try to keep up with current design trends and technology."
Brian Hassinger, a graduate of SCAD, developed his skills as a designer in many different industries, including: diamonds, home-building and direct mail. He joined Veugeler Design Group in 2012 and has been a valued member of the team every since. Brian is very detail-oriented and thorough in his design work, which has led him the opportunity to take on bigger projects and new creative in recent years. Although he's very sarcastic and witty with the team, his respect and appreciation of his colleagues is evident. One of his favorite things about being a designer? "Getting to make cool s*** all day!" (we told you he was sarcastic. "Honestly though, it's knowing that my creativity is valued and being put it to good use. And the fact that so many people see our design work because of all the media we appear in/on."

Robert Wright joined Veugeler Design Group (VDG) in 2014 with over 12 years of experience in website development. Prior to joining VDG, Robert served as Senior Web Developer at one of the nation's top OOH advertising, radio and digital media companies, based in Florida. Upon moving back to his home state, (maybe, possibly, to regularly attend UGA football games again...) Robert discovered an opportunity to help grow and develop the Web Department of Veugeler Design Group. And, he has indeed! With areas of expertise, including but not limited to: Wordpress, PHP, CSS, Jquery, Ruby, Ruby on Rails and Google Analytics - Robert makes a point to stay at the forefront of ongoing updates or changes in the industry, emerging technologies and digital marketing mediums. He works closely with the Art Department to ensure that the website interface and design is strategically conveying his client's message. Throughout the entire website management, development, post-production and maintenance process, Robert communicates closely with clients to identify goals and revise their web strategy, as needed. Julie Perdue, Advertising Sales Representative for Suwanee Magazine, is one of those people that thrives on being involved in the community and seems to know everyone in Suwanee. We often joke with her that she knows more people than the Mayor himself! Julie moved to Suwanee over 25 years ago to raise her two, beautiful daughters in a family-friendly area and to open her award-winning photography business, Main Street Photography. But, in typical Julie fashion, having just one business venture was not enough. As a small business owner herself, Julie’s commitment to helping local businesses grow and succeed is genuine. And, Suwanee Magazine offered her the perfect opportunity to do just that: an outlet for business owners to share their stories, advertise events or specials, and brand themselves in the Suwanee community. Julie’s passion for small business growth is also evident as she serves on the Board of Directors of The Suwanee Business Alliance, The Suwanee Network, and The Downtown Development Authority for the City of Suwanee. Julie Perdue is your go-to girl for anything & everything Suwanee-related, and she’ll happily meet with anyone seeking insight…especially if you’d like to meet over a glass of wine!
